Natyvel Pontalier is a filmmaker born in Gabon and based in Brussels. She holds a Bachelor's degree in film technique from HELB (Brussels) and a Master's degree in documentary filmmaking from Lussas (France). Her debut film was screened at FESPACO in 2011. Since then, her work has been selected at renowned festivals across Europe — including Lussas, Black Movie (Geneva), Escales Documentaires (La Rochelle), Seytou Africa — and in Africa, such as Écrans Noirs (Yaoundé), Saint Louis Docs, Carthage Film Festival (JCC), and the Escale Documentaire in Libreville. Her latest feature-length documentary, "On Zenith’s Edge" (2021), had its world premiere at IDFA, was selected in the international competition at FIPADOC 2022, and won the Audience Award at the Masuku Film Festival (Gabon).
