Born in Luxembourg, Bady Minck is an artist, filmmaker and producer working between Luxembourg and Vienna, where she studied sculpture, painting and cinema. Her films have been invited to more than 600 festivals, including Cannes, Berlin, Venice and Sundance, and have won numerous awards. They have also been presented in 70 retrospectives, and two books have been published on her cinematic work.
Her visual art has been exhibited at the Venice Biennale, the Centre Pompidou in Paris and Lincoln Center in New York. Her most recent exhibition, "The Traumatic Surreal", was held at the Henry Moore Institute in the UK. She has also served on numerous juries, including the Orizzonti jury at the Venice Film Festival.
She founded the film production company AMOUR FOU Luxembourg in 1995 and co-founded AMOUR FOU Vienna in 2001 and AMOUR FOU Germany in 2023, all in partnership with Alexander Dumreicher-Ivanceanu. Together, they have produced more than 130 films. In 2026, six AMOUR FOU feature films celebrated their world premieres in Berlin, Venice and Zurich, all six directed by women.
