A brief wandering through the narrow alleys of Marrakech becomes an attempt to belong and a step toward a lost homeland. Through memory and identity, the film reflects on a land and a culture that flow in the blood but do not dwell in the heart.

Amal Boulaala
Born in Nizhny Novgorod in 2005, Amal Boulaala grew up between Morocco and Russia. She is currently studying at the Superior School of Visual Arts in Marrakech (ESAV), where she is developing a cinematic language guided by sincerity and restraint, with a focus on identity, memory and belonging. "Stay" is her first documentary short film. Her filmography also includes "Nour" and "Neither Here, Nor There".
